Tall Man Project 17 Nov 2012

The session started at about 9:00 am on Saturday morning on Kings Beach in Summer  Strand. This was really great to see. Lots of young people learning to play the game. There was about 13 students from various schools that took part in the activities and it looked like they were having a lot of fun. Although most of them were still very green the coach and helpers enthusiasm was infectious. The drills that were run by the coach Deon Daniels was geared towards getting the most novice of the group to a good start and will definitely bare fruit in the not to distant future.

Quite a few of these students have played before and are playing in the school league. It is clear that they have had some exposure to the sport. It is very encouraging to have students that are showing a good skill level as well. This gives the learners an opportunity to learn from their peers as well.

We hope to get some commentary  from the coaches, players and the parents of some of the students that are in attendance for future articles.

Ex-players are also invited to come and enjoy the fun and to add o the fun atmosphere on the beach as the players go through their drills. The plan is to set up a few nets for more people to participate.

Please feel free to comment on the article and the events mentioned. Any suggestions on how we can improve would be appreciated.
